Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide pathology coverage with a focus on dermatopathology cases
- Perform surgical grossing, including lumpectomies, colons, and hysterectomies (biopsies not grossed)
- Oversee staining procedures, with slides sent to external laboratory
- Manage sporadic frozen sections (approximately 2-3 per week, scheduled within working hours)
- Collaborate with onsite laboratory staff and ensure timely case processing
Additional Information
- Active Illinois medical license required
- Board certification in Pathology - Clinical required
- Prior experience in surgical and dermatopathology cases preferred
