Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Pathologist for a 2-day assignment in Illinois, starting Feb 4, 2027. This role involves a 9a-5p schedule, requiring the physician to serve as the sole pathologist, performing all grossing, sign-outs for various biopsies and specimens, and conducting comprehensive intraoperative assessments.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform all grossing of specimens
- Serve as the sole pathologist on site
- Sign out bone marrow biopsies, general surgical pathology, and cytology
- Examine peripheral blood smears and crystal exams
- Sign out clinic biopsies, including general surgery, urology, and gynecology
- Conduct intraoperative adequacy assessments for pancreatic endoscopic ultrasounds, ultrasound guided thyroid FNA, and CT/US guided biopsies
- Perform frozen sections of tumors, skin lesions, margins, and joints for neutrophil counts
