Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pathologist for a 42-day locum tenens assignment in New York, starting Nov 24, 2025. This opportunity offers day shifts from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will have expertise in surgical pathology and be comfortable handling a combination of surgical, cytopathology, and hematopathology cases.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Perform diagnostic evaluation of surgical pathology specimens, including frozen sections
  • Participate in conferences and tumor boards
  • Review and sign out autopsy cases
  • Review and sign out surgical pathology biopsies, excision, and resection cases
  • Review and sign out cytopathology cases
  • Prioritize malignant cases and submit all first-time malignant cases for daily intradepartmental consensus conference for peer review and concordance

Additional Information
  • Must hold a current license to practice medicine in New York
  • Required board certifications: Pathology - Clinical; Pathology - Hematology; Pathology - Medical Microbiology
  • Background in surgical pathology, cytopathology, and/or hematopathology required
