 A laboratory/diagnostic center in Rhode Island is seeking a skilled Physician specializing in Pathology for a 120-day locum tenens assignment starting on 09/01/2025. This role offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM. The ideal candidate must be fellowship-trained or have experience in Hematopathology, be AP/CP Board Certified, and possess strong general pathology skills. Flexibility is essential for this position, which may require expertise in both Cytopathology and Surgical Pathology. This opportunity utilizes the Epic electronic health record system and provides a chance for assignment extension.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform hematopathology examinations and interpretations

• Conduct cytopathology and surgical pathology procedures as needed

• Provide expert diagnoses on various tissue samples and specimens

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses

• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for documentation

• Maintain high standards of quality control and assurance

• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and tumor boards

• Stay current with the latest advancements in pathology and laboratory medicine


Additional Information:

• Fellowship training in Hematopathology or equivalent experience required
