Job Description

 We are seeking a skilled Pathologist for a locum tenens position at a Laboratory/Diagnostic Center in Texas. This 100-day assignment offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, starting on date 06/23/2025, with no call or weekend duties. The ideal candidate will be board-certified in Anatomic Pathology (AP) or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP), preferably with subspecialty training in surgical and/or cytopathology. Special consideration will be given to candidates with expertise in hematopathology, gynecologic pathology, or gastrointestinal/liver pathology. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute their expertise in a dynamic laboratory setting.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform anatomic pathology examinations and diagnoses

• Conduct surgical pathology and cytopathology analyses

• Provide expertise in subspecialty areas such as hematopathology, gynecologic pathology, or gastrointestinal/liver pathology, if applicable

• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate and timely diagnoses

• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and clinical conferences as needed

• Maintain accurate and detailed pathology reports using WindowPath and Epic systems

• Adhere to all laboratory policies and procedures

• Contribute to quality assurance and improvement initiatives

• Stay current with advancements in pathology and laboratory medicine


Additional Information:

• Texas state medical license required

• Board certification in Anatomic Pathology (AP) or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) mandatory

• Experience with WindowPath and Epic systems preferred

• Potential for assignment extension
