Responsibilities and Duties
Perform diagnostic evaluations in surgical pathology, GI pathology, GU pathology, neuropathology, dermatopathology, and hematopathology
Conduct and interpret bone marrow aspiration and biopsy procedures
Evaluate pediatric tumor pathology cases
Interpret cytology specimens including GYN and non-GYN cases
Perform fine needle aspirations (FNAs)
Conduct both non-forensic and forensic autopsies
Gross and cut frozen sections for intraoperative consultations
Oversee laboratory operations in hematology, microbiology, chemistry, serology, and blood bank
Additional Information
Board certification required in Pathology - Anatomic and Pathology - Clinical
Must hold a current Texas medical license
Boarded in pathology is required
Approximately 20 days anticipated for credentialing
