We are actively seeking a Pediatric Critical Care Nurse Practitioner for a 12-week locum tenens role in Texas starting in early September covering 13-hour shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. This position involves delivering specialized care in a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit setting supporting post-operative care for pediatric cardiology patients.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive medical care in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU)
  • Manage complex cardiac cases in a post-operative setting
  • Perform critical procedures such as arterial and central venous catheter placements, chest tube placement, endotracheal intubation, lumbar puncture, and needle thoracentesis
  • Monitor patient progress and respond to medical emergencies
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of care
  • Document all patient interactions and treatments in the Epic EMR system


Additional Information

  • Required Board Certifications: Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
  • Must be licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Texas
