Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct and document comprehensive physical examinations based on age and diagnosis, including psychological assessments.
  • Develop and evaluate patient care plans by synthesizing data and utilizing evidence, with authority to order and interpret diagnostic studies.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in procedural skills relevant to pediatric critical care.
  • Manage, refer, counsel, and educate patients and their families on current and preventive healthcare.
  • Engage in quality initiatives, workshops, and research projects to enhance clinical practices and outcomes.
  • Maintain effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care delivery.


Additional Information

  • Required Board Certifications: Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC)
  • EMR System Used: Epic
  • Must possess relevant certifications including BLS, NRP, and PALS
  • Licensure as a PA in Texas is mandatory
