We are seeking a Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 30-day locum tenens assignment in Texas, starting Jun 1, 2026. This role focuses on pediatric cardiac intensive care with day, night, and weekend shifts, providing an excellent opportunity for experienced advanced practice providers.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide pediatric cardiology critical care, including care for post-operative cardiothoracic patients
  • Cover the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at a 1.5 FTE equivalent
  • Perform arterial, central venous, and chest tube placement, endotracheal intubation, lumbar puncture, and needle thoracentesis as needed
  • Collaborate with cardiology and critical care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Additional Information
  • One year of pediatric cardiology experience required; post-operative cardiothoracic experience preferred
  • Experience with advanced procedural skills highly desired
  • Must hold active Texas licensure
  • Required board certifications: Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
  • EMR: Epic
