We are seeking a Pediatric Critical Care Physician Assistant for a 90-day locum tenens assignment in Louisiana, starting Feb 1, 2026. This role features both day and night shifts, with weekday and weekend scheduling, and involves direct collaboration with Pediatric Cardiac Intensivists caring for pediatric CVICU patients.

  • Day Shifts: Monday–Friday 7am–8pm; Saturday & Sunday 7am–8pm (includes handoff time); 4–7 shifts consecutively
  • Night Shifts: Monday–Friday 5pm–8am; Saturday & Sunday 7pm–8am (includes handoff time); up to 4 shifts consecutively

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Collaborate directly with Pediatric Cardiac Intensivists to establish and implement patient care plans
  • Manage new admissions in the pediatric CVICU
  • Round with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and deliver care
  • Take frontline calls and respond to emergent patient needs
  • Cover cardiology patients on the pediatric acute floor during night shifts, typically 2–5 patients
  • Deliver care exclusively to pediatric patients

Additional Information
  • Louisiana state license required (will wait for licensure)
  • Board Certification: Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC)
  • BLS and PALS certifications required
  • Board certification required
