Job Description

We are actively seeking a Pediatric Critical Care Physician Assistant for a 12-week locum tenens role in Texas starting in early September covering 13-hour shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. This position involves delivering specialized care in a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit setting supporting post-operative care for pediatric cardiology patients.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Cover Pediatric CICU as part of a 1.5 FTE team.
  • Perform procedures such as arterial and central venous catheter placements, chest tube placement, endotracheal intubation, lumbar puncture, and needle thoracentesis.
  • Provide comprehensive medical care with a focus on pediatric cardiology and critical care.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
  • Utilize Epic EMR system to document patient interactions and treatments.


Additional Information

  • Required Board Certifications: Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
  • Must be licensed to practice in Texas.
