Responsibilities and Duties
  • Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations, including psychological assessments, tailored to pediatric patients in critical care.
  • Develop and evaluate patient care plans based on synthesized data and evidence; order and interpret diagnostic studies.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in procedural skills relevant to pediatric critical care.
  • Provide management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Participate in quality initiatives and research projects relevant to pediatric critical care.
  • Ensure application of evidence-based practices in patient care.

Additional Information
  • Required Board Certifications: Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC)
  • Must be licensed to practice in Texas
  • Proficiency with the Epic EMR system is essential
