Job Description

Our client in TX is actively seeking a Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Physician Assistant for a 168-day assignment, commencing Jun 1, 2026. This vital role involves comprehensive coverage of a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, with a dynamic schedule including shifts from 7 AM to 8 PM on weekdays and 8 AM to 9 PM on weekends. The Physician Assistant will play a crucial part in managing a diverse patient population, focusing on congenital and acquired heart disease, advanced heart failure management, ventricular assist device placements, and heart transplantation cases.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide 1.5 FTE coverage within a busy Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU).
  • Manage congenital and acquired heart disease patients in both pre-operative and post-operative stages.
  • Oversee medical management for complex cardiology patients within the CICU and a step-down acute care cardiology unit.
  • Contribute to the care of heart failure patients, including those requiring ventricular assist devices and heart transplantation.
