Job Description

Our client in California is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Dentist for a 60-day assignment starting Jun 1, 2026. This role involves providing comprehensive pediatric dental care, including exams, preventive services, restorative procedures, and managing dental trauma, with a schedule of 8a to 5p, and every other Friday off.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive pediatric dental care including exams, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Deliver preventive services such as cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, and caries risk assessments
  • Perform restorative procedures including composite and amalgam fillings and stainless steel crowns
  • Complete pulpotomies and pulpectomies on primary teeth
  • Perform simple and limited surgical extractions and manage post operative care
  • Evaluate and treat pediatric dental trauma and acute dental infections
  • Utilize behavior management techniques including nitrous oxide sedation when indicated
  • Educate patients and caregivers on oral hygiene, nutrition, and preventive care
  • Coordinate referrals for cases requiring general anesthesia, orthodontics, or advanced oral surgery
  • Maintain accurate EHR documentation and comply with Medi Cal, FQHC, and tribal health standards
