Experienced Pediatric Gastroenterologist needed for a 120-day locum tenens assignment at a Hospital in California. Starting 09/01/2025, this full-time position requires coverage Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, with additional on-call responsibilities for one week at a time. The physician will provide comprehensive pediatric gastroenterology services, including clinic consultations, ER consults, endoscopies, and colonoscopies. Responsibilities include seeing patients in the clinic and hospital, performing procedures, and responding to ER and inpatient consults. This role offers a diverse mix of outpatient and inpatient care, requiring strong clinical skills and the ability to manage complex pediatric gastrointestinal cases. Proficiency in Epic EHR is required.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Conduct outpatient clinic consultations for pediatric gastroenterology patients
• Perform endoscopies and colonoscopies
• Provide ER consultations as needed
• Manage inpatient pediatric gastroenterology cases
• Respond to on-call requests during assigned weeks
• Diagnose and treat various pediatric gastrointestinal disorders
• Develop and implement treatment plans for complex cases
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Epic EHR
• Educate patients and families on gastrointestinal health and management
• Stay updated on the latest pediatric gastroenterology treatments and technologies
• Adhere to all hospital policies and pediatric care protocols
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed as a Physician in California
• Board certification in Pediatric Gastroenterology required
• Experience with Epic EHR preferred
