We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity begins on Oct 16, 2025, offers a 52-day contract, and involves 24-hour out-of-house call coverage on a schedule that includes multiple date blocks through February 2026. The role entails providing inpatient care across ER, OB, and NICU settings, managing admissions, discharges, and specialized procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide inpatient call coverage for ER, OB, and level 2 NICU
  • Manage admissions and discharges
  • Perform intubation, UAC, UVC, and thoracentesis
  • Respond to emergencies and acute patient care needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams
  • Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of all patient encounters


Additional Information

  • Must be licensed to practice medicine in California
  • Board certification preferred
  • Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Experience with pediatric inpatient care and comfortable covering ER, OB, and NICU settings
