Job Description

We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a 30-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Apr 1, 2026. This position offers flexible scheduling, typically 12-hour shifts with the option for 24-hour shifts if preferred, and requests a minimum of 5 consecutive days per assignment to support continuity of care. The Pediatric Hospitalist will manage pediatric inpatients, provide ER consults, and participate in pediatric burn cases.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Manage 10 to 15 pediatric patients per day on the pediatric floor
  • Provide 0 to 5 ER consults per day for pediatric patients
  • Participate in 0 to 3 pediatric burn cases per day
  • Treat common acute illnesses, chronic condition exacerbations, and provide post-operative care
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure continuity and quality of care

Additional Information
  • Active California medical license required
  • Board certification in Pediatrics required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
