Locum Tenens Physician - Pediatric Hospitalist Needed in CA

Job Description

We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist Physician for a 10-day assignment with our client in California, starting Dec 21, 2026. This role involves 24-hour call from 7am-7am, where you will attend high-risk C/S and high-risk vaginal deliveries, manage admits, rounding, and ER consults. The physician must be proficient in intubation, stabilization for transport, circumcisions, and lumbar punctures. You can expect 1-3 events weekly requiring immediate presence and 7-12 events handled over the phone.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Attend high-risk C/S and high-risk vaginal deliveries.
• Manage admits, rounding, and ER consults while on call.
• Perform intubation and stabilization for transport, circumcisions, and lumbar punctures.
• Handle 1-3 events per week requiring immediate presence.
• Address 7-12 events over the phone weekly.
• Serve as the sole Pediatric Hospitalist in the county.
