Job Description

We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a 14-day locum tenens assignment in Mississippi, starting Nov 5, 2025. Hours include 24 hour call coverage shifts. The selected locum will be focusing on emergency c-section deliveries, pediatric emergencies, and newborn care. Applicants should also have at least 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide out of house call coverage for emergency c-sections and pediatric illnesses
  • Respond to emergencies within 20 minutes; respond to non-emergencies within 40-45 minutes
  • Assist with c-section births and support newborn care post-delivery
  • Manage pediatric emergencies, including potential need for newborn incubation
  • Address cases such as urinary tract infections, dehydration, asthma, and hypoxia
  • Help reduce the workload for the Pediatric Director during the assignment

Additional Information
