Barton Associates is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a locum tenens position in North Carolina. This 60-day assignment begins on 09/08/2025, with potential for extension. The provider will work 24-hour coverage shifts, with dates assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. The pediatric hospitalist will be responsible for a wide range of duties including nursery rounds, inpatient calls and rounds, ER calls, new admissions and discharges, and performing circumcisions. This role requires a versatile and experienced physician comfortable with managing diverse pediatric cases in a hospital setting.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Conduct nursery rounds
• Manage inpatient calls and rounds
• Respond to ER calls for pediatric patients
• Handle new admissions and discharges
• Perform circumcisions
• Provide comprehensive care for hospitalized pediatric patients
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for patient documentation
• Ensure timely and appropriate patient care and follow-up
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pediatric care practices
Additional Information:
