Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist Physician for a 57-day locum tenens assignment starting Mar 9, 2026, in Ohio. This role involves 24-hour in-house shifts from 8 AM to 8 AM, focusing on rounding newborns in a special care nursery, attending C-sections, and managing inpatient pediatrics and consults. Shifts are non-consecutive, ensuring optimal work-life balance.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform daily rounds on newborns in a special care nursery.
  • Report for all C-Sections.
  • Provide care for Inpatient Pediatric cases and manage consults.
  • Manage well and sick babies, pediatric, and pediatric psych admissions.
  • Stabilize premature babies.
  • Conduct vent management, intubations, and circumcisions.
  • Perform thoracentesis, chest tube placement, and lumbar punctures.
  • Administer surfactant.
  • Perform arterial blood draws, UAC/UVC procedures, and needle decompression.
  • Manage CPAP.
  • Work 24-hour in-house shifts from 8 AM to 8 AM.
  • Adhere to a physician-only model, supported by a neonatologist during the day and on call at night.
  • Ensure non-consecutive shifts are worked.


Additional Information

  • Board certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Pediatric Hospital Medicine.
