We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Hospitalist for a 42-day locum tenens assignment at a Hospital in Virginia, starting 06/23/2025. This position involves working 24-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 AM, either Monday to Friday or Monday to Monday. The ideal candidate will provide care in a pediatric inpatient mental health facility, focusing on physical assessments, new admissions, medical management, and handling any codes. This consultative role requires expertise in managing pediatric patients with mental health conditions in an inpatient setting. The physician will utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Conduct physical assessments and evaluations of pediatric patients
• Manage new admissions to the inpatient mental health facility
• Provide medical management for pediatric patients with mental health conditions
• Respond to and handle any medical codes or emergencies
• Offer consultative services to the mental health team
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Epic EMR
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and care planning meetings
• Stay updated on current pediatric and mental health best practices
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed to practice medicine in Virginia
• Board certification in Pediatrics required
• Experience in pediatric hospital medicine and mental health settings preferred
• Familiarity with Epic EMR is necessary
