Job Description

We are seeking a Pediatric Hospital Medicine specialist for a 35-day locum tenens assignment in West Virginia beginning Nov 24, 2025. This opportunity involves 24-hour shifts in a nursery setting, with in-house coverage from 7 am to 7 pm and call coverage from 7 pm to 7 am. The provider will care for both pediatric and newborn patients and must be comfortable with advanced neonatal and pediatric procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide care for 4–5 pediatric patients and 3–4 newborn patients daily
  • Manage patients in a nursery setting
  • Attend C-sections and respond to ER consults
  • Perform advanced neonatal and pediatric procedures, including intubation of umbilical lines
  • Participate in all required aspects of pediatric hospital medicine


Additional Information

  • Must be licensed to practice in West Virginia
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
  • Board certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine required
  • Experience with intubating umbilical lines is essential
