Job Description

Our client is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day assignment in California, starting Mar 30, 2026. This role involves covering outpatient pediatrics with shifts from 8a-5p, managing a fluctuating patient volume in a small town FQHC, where MA staff will handle patient rooming and vaccinations.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Cover outpatient pediatrics in a small town with fluctuating patient volume
  • Provide care at an FQHC, committed to serving all patients
  • Collaborate with MA staff who room all patients and administer vaccines
  • See all outpatient pediatrics cases, mainly scheduled patients, but will accommodate walk-ins if the schedule allows
  • Manage cases including sick visits, immunizations, cold, cough, flu, physicals, new patient exams, and follow-ups
  • Allocate 20-30 minutes for new patients and 10-20 minutes for established patients depending on the reason for the visit
