Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Pediatrician to join our client's team in Alabama for a 12-day assignment starting Jun 25, 2026. This role involves 24-hour shifts focused on managing births and providing essential care for newborns in a Nursery setting. The Physician will be responsible for stabilizing infants who require a higher level of care before transfer, with no requirements for ER or OR call back duties.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide coverage exclusively for births.
- Stabilize infants requiring a higher level of care until transfer to an appropriate facility.
- Manage newborns in a Nursery.
- Handle 0-5 patient encounters per shift, with an average of 2 newborns per day.
- Perform occasional admissions as needed.
- No involvement with ER or OR call back duties.
- No specific vent management or ECMO requirements.
