Job Description

Our client in California is seeking a dedicated Pediatrics Physician Assistant for a 140-day assignment beginning May 4, 2026. This role involves a Monday-Friday 8 AM to 5 PM schedule, focusing on general pediatrics, including chronic pain management and addressing behavioral health issues in pediatric patients.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide general pediatric care to patients.
  • Manage pediatric chronic pain cases.
  • Treat behavioral health (anxiety) issues in pediatric patients.
  • Implement Pediatric Chronic Care Management.
  • Ensure chart closure within 72 hours.
  • Maintain a schedule of 18 patients per day (PPD) minimum.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification: Pediatrics
  • EMR System: Epic
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar setting.
  • Must have FQHC experience.
  • Experience treating behavioral health (anxiety) issues in pediatric patients.
  • Experience with Pediatric Chronic Care Management.
  • Required: CA Controlled Substance Education Course Certificate.
  • Required: Active DEA before the start date.
