Job Description

We are seeking a Pediatrician for a 73-day locum tenens assignment in New York, starting Oct 6, 2025. This role involves 4 days of office coverage per week from 8am to 5pm, with additional responsibilities including 2 weeknights and a 1:3 weekend call rotation. The successful candidate will handle newborn care in a nursery and manage urgent pediatric conditions.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide care in an office setting, attending to at least 18 patients per day
  • Participate in the newborn care team in a Level 1 nursery
  • Respond to deliveries and cesarean sections
  • Perform circumcisions, intubations, and manage ventilators as needed
  • Stabilize and prepare sick newborns for transport to tertiary care facilities
  • Maintain accurate patient records using the Epic EMR system


Additional Information

  • Required Board Certifications: Pediatrics
  • Must be licensed to practice in New York
  • Certifications needed: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
