Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatrician for a 7-day locum tenens assignment with our client in New York, commencing Mar 9, 2026. This role involves 4 days of office coverage per week from 8am to 5pm, complemented by two weeknights of phone call and a 1:3 weekend call schedule. The Pediatrician will provide comprehensive outpatient care, manage office patients, and perform hospital duties, including attending deliveries, C-sections, and stabilizing critically ill newborns.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care, including routine physical exams, health screenings, sick visits, immunizations, flu shots, minor sutures, and setting broken bones.
  • Manage a daily patient load of 18 or more within a collaborative office setting of two Physicians and one Nurse Practitioner.
  • Attend deliveries and C-sections.
  • Perform circumcisions (highly preferred).
  • Stabilize sick infants in a nursery for transfer to a tertiary care facility.
  • Perform intubations, place lines, and manage vents during stabilization procedures.
  • Handle pediatric emergency department consults.
  • Participate in a 2 weeknight phone call schedule.
  • Adhere to a 1:3 weekend call schedule, from Friday morning to Monday morning.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Pediatrics required.
  • Experience with Epic EMR system.
