Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified Pediatrician for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Oregon, starting Dec 15, 2025. This unique hybrid opportunity features clinic-based pediatric care plus limited inpatient and newborn nursery responsibilities, with a Monday-Friday schedule and 1:3 inpatient call rotation.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide clinic-based pediatric care to patients from newborn through 17 years old
  • See 13–15 patients per day on call days and approximately 20 patients per day on non-call days
  • Conduct well-child checks, acute visits, and behavioral/ADHD management
  • Schedule 20- and 40-minute appointments as appropriate
  • Cover inpatient pediatric admissions (rare, typically older adolescents)
  • Manage newborn nursery census of 1–5 babies per day
  • Attend deliveries when indicated by OB/FBC staff or per high-risk criteria
  • Handle after-hours “Mommy Calls” (average 0–10 per night, higher in winter months)
  • Collaborate with OB, FBC, and hospital staff as needed

Additional Information
  • Must have completed at least 25 vaginal deliveries and 10 C-section assists within the past 24 months
  • Experience with both clinic and hospital settings preferred
  • Board certification in Pediatrics required
  • Oregon state medical license required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
  • Must be comfortable attending deliveries per OB high-risk criteria
