Job Description

Barton is seeking a qualified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician for a 7-day locum tenens assignment in Louisiana. This opportunity begins on Nov 3, 2025, with day shifts from 8am to 5pm. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive inpatient rehab consults and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage complex medical cases. There is also potential for extension with this opportunity.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct inpatient consults for rehabilitation services
  • Assess and admit new patients with conditions such as strokes, trauma, and orthopedic cases
  • Perform functional status assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Oversee discharge planning and participate in interdisciplinary rounds
  • Order and interpret necessary testing or diagnostic procedures

Additional Information

  • Must be licensed in Louisiana prior to assignment
  • Board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation required
  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred
  • Relevant PM&R experience in both inpatient and outpatient rehab settings is essential
