Job Description

We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Maryland, beginning Jan 12, 2026, for a 1-week term. This role offers flexible 6-hour day shifts between Monday and Friday, seeing both children (as young as 5) and adults in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide psychiatric care in-person and, as needed, via telehealth in an outpatient environment
  • Prescribe and administer medications and injections in accordance with Maryland regulations
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 60 percent children/adolescents and 40 percent adults (patients aged 5-75)
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes

Additional Information
  • Active Maryland license required; bonus if also licensed in DC
  • Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Across the Lifespan) Certification (PMHNP-BC) required
  • Controlled Substances Registration (CSR) and DEA certification required
  • Previous experience in psychiatric care across varied age groups preferred
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to both in-person and telehealth settings
