Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatry Needed in NY

Job Description

We are seeking a Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner for a 15-day assignment in New York, starting Apr 27, 2026. This role involves home visits from 10AM to 5PM, focusing on medication management, psychiatric evaluations, and prescriptive services for patients in their residences. The provider will manage a variety of severe diagnoses while delivering essential mental health support.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Conduct home visits to patients’ houses or current place of residency.
• Perform medication management and psychiatric evaluations.
• Provide prescriptive services.
• Administer long-lasting injectables and manage severe diagnoses including Schizophrenia, bipolar, and schizoaffective disorders.
• Engage with potentially verbally aggressive patients while maintaining a professional and safe environment.

Additional Information

• Required Board Certification: Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Across the Lifespan) Certification (PMHNP-BC).
• EMR System: AWARDS.
• Schedule: Shifts are 10AM to 5PM, totaling 7 hours daily.
