Job Description

Our client is seeking a Psychiatrist Physician for a 202-day assignment starting Mar 30, 2026, in CA. This role primarily involves telehealth services, where patients attend onsite at a facility to participate, alongside required onsite presence 1 week every 2 months. The schedule is 8:30am-5pm, including daily team meetings and built-in documentation time, focusing on consults, follow-ups, and managing serious mental health conditions within a multidisciplinary team.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide almost all telehealth services, with patients attending in-person at the facility for telehealth sessions.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary team interaction.
  • Participate in a full service partnership model.
  • Be able to go onsite 1 week every 2 months.
  • Conduct consults and follow-up appointments. New patient exams are rare, averaging about 5 per month (1 hour duration), with follow-ups typically 30 minutes.
  • Attend daily team meetings from 8:30am-9am.
  • Manage documentation with dedicated time built into the schedule; notes are due the same day.
  • Treat serious mental health conditions, including psychotic disorders, working with impaired and impoverished individuals.
  • Address a patient population where almost all individuals have dual diagnoses (often involving methamphetamine or marijuana use) and trauma, many experiencing homelessness and serious mental illness.
