Job Description

Our client in California is seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist Physician for a 144-day assignment beginning Mar 23, 2026. This role primarily involves telehealth services from 8:30am to 5pm, with an onsite requirement one week every two months. You will manage a diverse patient population with serious mental health conditions, conducting consults and follow-up appointments, while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide almost entirely telehealth services, with patients accessing telehealth from the facility onsite.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and participate in full-service partnership initiatives.
  • Be available for onsite work one week every two months.
  • Conduct patient consults and follow-up appointments, with new patient exams being infrequent (approximately five per month).
  • Attend daily team meetings from 8:30am to 9am.
  • Utilize dedicated time for documentation built into the daily schedule.
  • Manage and treat patients with serious mental health conditions, including psychotic disorders, and support impaired or impoverished individuals.
  • Care for a patient population primarily presenting with dual diagnoses (frequently involving methamphetamines or marijuana), trauma, and experiences of homelessness and serious mental illness.
  • Ensure all patient notes and documentation are completed by the end of the same day.
