Job Description

 Barton Associates is seeking a board-certified Psychiatrist for a 26-day locum tenens assignment at a mental health facility in Georgia. Starting on 07/07/2025, this position focuses on medication management for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) patients. The flexible schedule allows for either 4 hours every week or 8 hours every other week, between Monday and Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. The psychiatrist will conduct initial evaluations and follow-up appointments, each lasting 30 minutes. Responsibilities include reviewing medical history, post-injury status, and performing psychiatric reviews of symptoms. This opportunity offers the potential for extension and requires an active Massachusetts medical license.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide medication management for TBI patient referrals

• Conduct initial evaluations and follow-up appointments (30 minutes each)

• Review medical history and post-injury status

• Perform psychiatric review of symptoms

• Document clinical findings using provided note templates

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records using Office Ally

• Ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures

• Participate in treatment planning and patient care conferences


Additional Information:

• Must be board-certified in Psychiatry

• Active Massachusetts medical license required

• Experience in TBI and medication management preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
