Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide psychiatric evaluation and treatment for adults on a general behavioral health unit, shared with one other psychiatrist (approximately 15 patients per physician)
- Participate in call rotation and provide weekend coverage as scheduled (including evaluation of children in crisis unit only when on call)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Oversee patient admissions, daily rounds, and discharge planning
- Ensure timely and thorough documentation of patient encounters
- Adhere to facility protocols and standards of care
Additional Information
- Board certification in Psychiatry required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Active New York medical license required at the time of submission
- Clean background required for expedited credentialing
- Self-Query NPDB report required, pulled within the same month as submission
- Must be available for full-time coverage
