Schedule: Monday 8am-4pm; Tuesday through Friday 8am-3pm, totaling 36 hours per week with the option to add 4 outpatient hours for a 40-hour week
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide psychiatric care in Child/Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) and Outpatient settings
Conduct 30-minute medication checks or discharges, 60-minute step downs, and 90-minute new evaluations
Manage patients aged 5-23 years in outpatient and 7-18 years in PHP
Cover approximately 15 days on the Inpatient Unit (10 beds) for vacation coverage
Treat a broad spectrum of psychiatric conditions, including anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, eating disorders, developmental disorders, psychotic disorders, organic disorders, and involuntary commitments
Perform psychiatric medication management, including controlled substances
Implement and monitor seclusion therapy and restraint application
Provide pharmacotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy
Participate in ECT as needed
Additional Information
Active Pennsylvania medical license required
Board certification in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Fellowship training preferred
Experience with treating children and adolescents in psychiatric settings is essential
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days
