 A healthcare facility in Georgia is seeking a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Psychology for a 52-day locum tenens assignment starting 08/04/2025. This role offers a flexible schedule, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm EST, with an initial patient load of approximately 2 patients per week, expected to grow. The position involves providing telehealth services, including one-hour assessments following initial sleep evaluations by a sleep medicine MD. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) and experienced in treating patients with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Key responsibilities include establishing baseline cognitive and emotional functions post-trauma, documenting memory and attention issues, addressing emotional distress and sleep concerns, and developing cognitive recovery plans.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conduct one-hour telehealth assessments following initial sleep evaluations by sleep medicine MD

• Perform Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I)

• Treat patients with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

• Establish baseline cognitive and emotional functions post-trauma

• Document memory, attention, emotional distress, and sleep concerns

• Utilize screening tools such as PHQ-9, GAD-7, and ISI

• Connect symptoms to injuries

• Conduct therapy, education, and care

• Develop cognitive recovery plans for patients

• Collaborate with the support team to coordinate schedules and patient care
