Job Description

We are seeking a licensed Psychologist for a 52-day locum tenens assignment in Arizona, beginning Nov 3, 2025. This role offers a flexible schedule of Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, with shifts from 6:30am to 4:00pm. The Psychologist will provide clinical leadership for mental health programs within a correctional facility, overseeing mental health screenings, evaluations, and care delivery.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Maintain overall clinical responsibility for the mental health programs within the facility
  • Oversee the completion of mental health screenings and evaluations
  • Perform sick call visits and chronic care visits
  • Conduct rounds in all units
  • Formulate a working diagnosis, develop and implement a treatment plan, and evaluate or modify therapeutic regimens to promote positive patient outcomes
  • Coordinate, lead, and participate in educational training activities related to mental health care

Additional Information
  • Must be licensed to practice in Arizona
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications required
  • Experience in corrections preferred, but not required
