 Barton Associates is seeking a Pulmonologist for a locum tenens position in Kentucky. This 84-day assignment at a hospital begins on 06/30/2025, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, including weekend rounding and call. The role involves covering a ICU on a two weeks on, two weeks off rotation, managing pulmonary consults and cases. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various procedures including intubation, thoracentesis, bronchoscopy, central line placement, and ventilator management. This opportunity offers a comprehensive critical care experience, requiring a current Kentucky medical license and proficiency with Meditech EHR. There is potential for assignment extension.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Cover ICU on a two weeks on, two weeks off rotation

• Manage pulmonary consults and cases in the ICU

• Perform oral and nasal intubations

• Conduct thoracentesis procedures

• Carry out bronchoscopies with biopsies

• Place central venous lines and arterial lines

• Perform arterial punctures

• Manage ventilators for critically ill patients

• Conduct tube thoracostomies as needed

• Provide weekend rounding and take call as scheduled

• Utilize Meditech EHR for patient documentation and management

• Collaborate with other ICU staff and healthcare professionals

• Ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to hospital protocols


Additional Information:

• Must possess an active Kentucky medical license

• Experience with Meditech EHR preferred

• Strong background in pulmonary critical care required

• Ability to work independently in a high-stress ICU environment
