Job Description

We are seeking a Pulmonologist for a 98-day locum tenens assignment in Kentucky, starting Dec 29, 2025. This position features a 7 on / 7 off rotating schedule, covering pulmonary consults and cases in a 14-bed ICU. Shifts run 8am to 5pm, with rotating weekday and weekend call responsibilities. Candidates must have recent ICU experience and be proficient with Meditech EHR.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide pulmonary consultations and manage cases in an ICU
  • Perform oral/nasal intubation
  • Conduct thoracentesis procedures
  • Perform bronchoscopy with biopsy
  • Place central venous and arterial lines
  • Conduct arterial punctures
  • Manage ventilators
  • Perform tube thoracostomy
  • Participate in rotating call schedule


Additional Information

  • Must be board certified in Pulmonary Disease
  • Must have completed pulmonary training with ICU experience within the last 2 years
  • Kentucky medical license required
  • Experience with Meditech EHR preferred
