We are seeking a board-certified Radiation Oncologist for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Colorado starting Apr 6, 2026. This hospital-based role offers a Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with rotating after-hours, weeknight, and weekend call coverage. The assignment involves both outpatient clinic coverage during the day and 24-hour call responsibilities, supporting a collaborative, patient-centric environment.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Function independently to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in both hospital and clinic settings
  • Provide care through direct patient interaction as well as via telephone, video, or secure email when appropriate
  • Gather patient histories, perform physical exams, review prior records and ancillary data, and apply critical problem-solving skills
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust treatment plans while communicating effectively with patients, families, and the care team
  • Deliver education and counseling to support treatment and discharge plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and coordinated care
  • Assist collaborating physicians with patient management per care site policies and approved scope of practice
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, practice metrics, and documentation guidelines
  • Float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business needs
  • Participate in additional call shifts as required

Additional Information
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical or osteopathic school required
  • Residency training and board certification or eligibility in Radiation Oncology required
  • Valid Colorado medical license, DEA, and BLS or ACLS required upon hire (depending on setting)
  • Fellowship training highly preferred
  • IMLC accepted
  • Preference for candidates with 3+ years of experience
