We are seeking a board-certified Radiation Oncologist for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Colorado starting Apr 6, 2026. This hospital-based role offers a Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with rotating after-hours, weeknight, and weekend call coverage. Responsibilities and Duties
- Function independently to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in both hospital and clinic settings
- Provide care through direct patient interaction as well as via telephone, video, or secure email when appropriate
- Gather patient histories, perform physical exams, review prior records and ancillary data, and apply critical problem-solving skills
- Develop, monitor, and adjust treatment plans while communicating effectively with patients, families, and the care team
- Deliver education and counseling to support treatment and discharge plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and coordinated care
- Assist collaborating physicians with patient management per care site policies and approved scope of practice
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, practice metrics, and documentation guidelines
- Float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business needs
- Participate in additional call shifts as required
Additional Information
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical or osteopathic school required
- Residency training and board certification or eligibility in Radiation Oncology required
- Valid Colorado medical license, DEA, and BLS or ACLS required upon hire (depending on setting)
- Fellowship training highly preferred
- IMLC accepted
- Preference for candidates with 3+ years of experience
