Job Description

 Barton Associates is seeking a board-certified Radiation Oncologist for an 88-day locum tenens assignment at a hospital in North Carolina. Starting on 09/02/2025, this position primarily focuses on breast, lung, and prostate cases, utilizing IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, and SRS techniques. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential for overtime and 10-hour days. The assignment may involve working 4 days at the Smithfield location and 1 day at Rex, with flexibility for a 4-day, 10-hour schedule. Responsibilities include participating in morning team meetings, tumor boards, consultations, and follow-up appointments. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with collaborative SBRT case reviews and working with Epic, Mosaiq, and Ray Station planning systems.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide radiation oncology care, primarily for breast, lung, and prostate cases

• Perform IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, and SRS treatments

• Participate in morning team meetings and tumor boards

• Conduct new patient consultations and follow-up appointments

• Collaborate with the oncology team for SBRT case reviews

• Utilize Epic, Mosaiq, and Ray Station planning systems

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures

• Participate in treatment planning and patient care conferences


Additional Information:

• Must be board-certified in Radiation Oncology

• Active North Carolina medical license required

• Experience with IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, and SRS techniques essential
