Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified Rheumatologist for a 10-week locum tenens assignment with our client in Arkansas. The opportunity starts Jan 5, 2026, and offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 7am to 4pm, including after-hours call coverage and inpatient consults. This assignment focuses on a variety of rheumatology cases in both clinic and call settings.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide comprehensive rheumatology care in clinic and during call
  • Manage a diverse case mix including fibromyalgia, gout, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, Sjogren syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus, myositis, and related autoimmune conditions
  • Respond to inpatient consults during after-hours call periods
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure continuity of care
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
  • Adhere to all applicable clinical protocols and regulatory requirements

Additional Information
  • Active Arkansas medical license required
  • Board certification in Rheumatology required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in rheumatology practice
  • Assignment dates may be adjusted based on emergent credentialing needs
