Job Description

We are seeking a Rheumatologist for a locum tenens assignment in Arkansas beginning Feb 16, 2026. This opportunity offers clinic and call coverage, Monday through Friday, 7am to 4pm, with 24-hour call after clinic and flexible scheduling options. The assignment is 84 days in length and involves treating a diverse rheumatology case mix. Providers with at least 2 years of experience and a clean background are highly preferred.

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm (clinic) plus 24-hour call after clinic; weeknight call (4pm-7am) and weekend call (24 hours, 7am-7am); ideally 2 weeks per month, but will consider 1 week per month or full-time

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide comprehensive rheumatology care in a clinic setting
  • Participate in call coverage as required
  • Manage cases including fibromyalgia, gout, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, Sjogren syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus, myositis, and lupus
  • Conduct consults and follow-up appointments
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed

Additional Information
  • Arkansas medical license required
  • Board certification in Rheumatology required
  • Ideally seeking candidates with 2+ years of experience
  • Must be open to ongoing coverage and flexible scheduling
  • Clean background highly preferred, but not required
