We are seeking a skilled Rheumatologist for a locum tenens position in New York through Barton Associates. This 35-day assignment begins on 07/21/2025, at a Hospital. The ideal candidate will work Monday through Thursday in the clinic, managing a wide range of rheumatological conditions. The physician will be responsible for diagnosing and treating standard rheumatology cases, including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, vasculitis, scleroderma, psoriatic arthritis, connective tissue disorders, crystal arthropathies, chronic pain syndromes, and metabolic bone diseases. Duties include interpreting x-rays, MRIs, ultrasounds, and lab results, prescribing and managing medications, and providing consultations. The provider will use eClinicalWorks for patient management.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of rheumatological conditions
• Manage patients with rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, vasculitis, scleroderma, and psoriatic arthritis
• Provide care for connective tissue disorders, crystal arthropathies, and chronic pain syndromes
• Treat metabolic bone diseases
• Interpret x-rays, MRIs, ultrasounds, and laboratory results
• Prescribe and manage medications for rheumatological conditions
• Provide consultations for complex cases
• Utilize eClinicalWorks for patient records and treatment planning
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care
• Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and staff members
• Adhere to all relevant health and safety protocols
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in rheumatology
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed to practice medicine in New York
• Board certification in Rheumatology required
• Experience in managing a diverse range of rheumatological conditions
