Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Sports Medicine- Orthopedics Needed in VA

Job Description

Our client in VA is seeking a Sports Medicine- Orthopedics Nurse Practitioner for a 12-day assignment starting May 5, 2026. This role requires seeing 2-4 patients per hour with the support of a Medical Assistant, performing a range of orthopedic cases and procedures. Shifts are scheduled between 8:00am - 5:00pm or 8:00am to 7:00pm.

Responsibilities and Duties

• See 2-4 patients an hour
• Utilize a Medical Assistant to assist with patients
• Perform cases and procedures including:
• Joint Pain/Arthritis: Knee, elbow, and general joint dysfunction
• Sports Injuries: Sprains, strains, and shoulder injuries
• Back/Neck Pain & Spinal Issues: Whiplash, disc issues, and general spinal discomfort
• Functional Exams
• Stem wave therapy
• Joint injections
• Trigger point injections
