Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Sports Medicine- Orthopedics Needed in VA

Job Description

We are seeking a Physician Assistant - Sports Medicine- Orthopedics for a 12-day assignment in our client's facility in Virginia, starting May 5, 2026. This role involves seeing 2-4 patients per hour with assistance from a Medical Assistant, performing a variety of sports medicine cases and procedures during shifts that may range from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 8:00am to 7:00pm.

Responsibilities and Duties

• See 2-4 patients per hour
• Collaborate with a Medical Assistant for patient assistance
• Perform cases and procedures including:
• Evaluation and management of Joint Pain/Arthritis (Knee, elbow, and general joint dysfunction)
• Treatment of Sports Injuries (Sprains, strains, and shoulder injuries)
• Management of Back/Neck Pain & Spinal Issues (Whiplash, disc issues, and general spinal discomfort)
• Conduct Functional Exams
• Administer Stem wave therapy
• Perform Joint injections
• Perform Trigger point injections
