We are seeking an experienced Surgery - Trauma Nurse Practitioner for a 30-day locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania. This opportunity begins on Feb 1, 2026, and consists of 12-hour day and night shifts (7a-7p and 7p-7a), with 8-10 inpatient shifts per month and no call required. The nurse practitioner will provide care for trauma and emergency general surgery patients at a Level 2 Trauma Center, working closely with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities and Duties
Perform central line placement, chest tube placement, incision and drainage, laceration repairs, and wound debridement
Provide inpatient coverage for trauma and emergency general surgery services at a Level 2 Trauma Center
Conduct morning rounds, assist in the operating room, and evaluate new emergency general surgery consults
Manage inpatient service, including trauma activations and critical care management
Care for cases such as cholecystectomy, appendectomy, trauma exploratory laparotomy, colon resections, graham patch repairs, and hernia repairs
Collaborate with trauma surgeons, nursing staff, and ancillary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
Additional Information
Active Pennsylvania state license required
Board certified; DEA and CSR required
Certifications required: ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
