Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 65-day locum tenens assignment in California starting Dec 1, 2025. This role features 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, and involves a mix of emergency and urgent care (Rapid Care) settings with same-day and next-day appointments as well as walk-ins.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide care for patients presenting to a Rapid Care clinic with a mix of emergency room and urgent care needs
  • Manage same-day and next-day appointments and accommodate walk-in patients
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute conditions consistent with ER and urgent care practice
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care
  • Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management
  • Maintain compliance with clinical protocols and standards

Additional Information
  • Must have an active California license
  • Recent experience in both emergency room and urgent care settings required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
